METAIRIE, La. (AP) - The New Orleans Saints signed defensive tackle Isaako Aaitui to a 2-year deal Thursday. The 6-foot-4, 315-pound Aaitui is entering his third year as a pro out of UNLV. He was on the Miami Dolphins' practice squad for part of the 2011 season, then spent the 2012 preseason with Miami and the New York Jets.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton has settled his lawsuit against a former Saints player who sold him nonexistent state movie tax credits from a defunct film studio. Payton's attorney described the settlement approved Thursday as "substantial."

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Dallas Cowboys have signed defensive end Anthony Hargrove, who sat out the 2012 season after he was suspended as part of the New Orleans Saints' bounty scandal. Hargrove, who signed a 1-year deal Thursday, got an 8-game ban from Commissioner Roger Goodell after the NFL said the Saints ran a program that paid defensive players improper cash bonuses for hits that injured opponents from 2009 through 2011.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Tulane says former baseball player Stephen Martin Sr., the first black athlete to play any varsity sport in the Southeastern Conference, has died at age 66. Martin, who was from the New Orleans area, was a center fielder who made his debut for Tulane against Spring Hill in the 1966 season opener.
