    According to Roanoke City Police a shooting suspect is at large after one person was shot on the Roanoke River Greenway near the Ramada Inn on Franklin Road. Police say the victim has non-life threatening injuries. The call came in around 8:55.

    State police are investigating a deadly crash in Botetourt County.Officers sayit happened around 3:30 p.m. on Route 220.Investigators say 88-year-old Alfred Hicks of Hot Springs was heading north when he tried to pass two vehicles.Hicks then hit a van that was driving south head-on and died at the scene.Police say he was not wearing a seat belt.

    The man charged with robbing Valley Bank in Roanoke County has plead guilty to robbery. 59-year-old Glen Walton Ruff robbed the bank of more than eight hundred dollars on Challenger Avenue back on February 7th.He then fled to the Kroger grocery store nearby, where police later found him and made the arrest. Ruff is currently in the Roanoke County Salem jail. He will be in court again for sentencing on June 10th.
