CLINTON - The Belhaven Lady Blazers pushed top-seed Reinhardt (GA) to the limit. But despite forcing a decisive winner take all elimination game with a 4-2 victory early Wednesday afternoon, they were unable to keep the Lady Eagles from advancing. JACKSON - The memorial service for Alyne Payton, the mother of the late Walter Payton, was held Friday at Black's Chapel Church in Jackson as hundreds of family members and friends said their final good bye to a very influential woman. Payton was buried Saturday in her hometown of Columbia, MS.
