Blowout Loss To Alabama Not Without Positives For Southern Miss

Tuscaloosa, AL - On Saturday Southern Miss fell to No. 3 Alabama on the road, 52-12. Despite the lopsided score USM jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead on its first drive of the game, but the Crimson Tide would prove to be too much. They entered halftime leading 21-6 on the strength of a balanced run-pass attack and never looked back. USM drops to 1-2 on the year while Alabama improves to 3-0.
