Matt Kozar joined News Channel 12 in February 2008 as a general assignment reporter. He previously worked as a Delaware bureau reporter for WBOC-TV in Salisbury, MD.

Matt earned a masters of science degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s of arts degree in economics and urban studies from Brown University.



As an intern for the CBS Weekend Evening News, Matt helped segment producers with their pieces. He also interned for WLNE-TV in Providence as well as The Royal Bank of Scotland in New York City.

Matt was born and grew up in the suburbs of New York City. He is an avid runner, loves movies, sports, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He is excited about living in Mississippi and learning about its culture.
