Ross Adams joined the News Channel 12 staff in April of 2007 as a General Assignment Reporter.
Before coming to WJTV, he was a reporter/anchor at WCBI in Columbus, Miss. which also happens to be his hometown.
He has worked as a reporter in the Washington DC area for a local news station, Cable News 21 in Rockville Md.
Before heading to the nation’s capital, Ross worked as a photographer/reporter at WLOX in Biloxi, Miss. and a producer WXVT-TV in Greenville Miss.
Being a journalist is a dream come true for Ross, since he was a kid growing up watching his idol Dan Rather anchor the CBS Evening News.
Recently Ross received an Associated Press First Place Award for reporting.
Ross is a member of the Jackson Association of Black Journalists.
Among the most memorable stories Ross has covered since coming to WJTV include covering the 2008 presidential campaign and interviewing candidates Rudolph Giuliani, Barack Obama, Fred Thompson.
When he’s not chasing breaking news stories for WJTV, Ross spends his spare time at church, reading, and hanging out at the library, book stores and coffee shops.
