Warning About Heart Risk For ADHD Patients

The American Heart Association has a warning for children and parents.

Studies show some drugs prescribed for children with ADHD increase heart rate and blood pressure.

     These side effects can be and dangerous and potentially deadly in children with a heart condition.

     The problem is heart conditions in children are hard to detect.

     So the American Heart Association now recommends all children with ADHD receive an electrocardiogram before receiving drugs.
