Shotgun stolen from Clinton Walmart; 2 wanted

1 wanted for questioning, other wanted as suspect in crime

CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) - Detectives are investing a shoplifting case at the Walmart in Clinton.

A spokesperson for the Clinton Police Department confirms one shotgun was stolen from the Walmart on Highway 80 in Clinton.

He says the thief broke the glass to steal the gun.

Communications Director Mark Jones said Clinton Police are looking for two people in connection with this case.

The person in the surveillance photo with a jacket on is the suspect who broke the glass and stole the shotgun. The woman in the black shirt is wanted for questioning.

The suspect was driving a Chevy Suburban.

Walmart officials issued this statement about the incident:

"We have procedures in place for firearms to be safely stored and equipped with trigger lock devices that require a key. We'll work with police, providing them with needed information throughout their investigation."
