HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WJTV) -- A bullet went through a home on West 5th Street in Hattiesburg Sunday.
HPD was called to the scene around noon.
A resident told officers something hit her residence. Police searched the front side of her house and found a hole in a front window. It appeared to be from a bullet, police said.
Police talked to witnesses about the incident. It appears the house was not hit on purpose and the shooting was linked to suspects in the roadway, at Main and 5th Street.
Authorities arrested 44-year-old Ricardo Hollingsworth at the scene and charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Witnesses gave officers information about a dark-colored vehicle with a busted rear glass and broken side view mirror driving down Main Street at the time of the shooting.
Later that afternoon, officers located the vehicle involved in the shooting on Diamond Street.
21-year-old Terrence Haynes was taken into custody and charged with drive-by shooting and possession of a stolen weapon.
Other arrests are pending in the ongoing investigation.
