Lumberton bring "Terror Test" back

LUMBERTON, Miss (WJTV) - Lumberton Police will bring back a community favorite this fall.

The "Terror Test" Haunted House will be back for the first time in two years this fall. The department wants to encourage the community involvement but also hope to bring business to Lumberton.

Officers are also excited about a new initiative called "Coffee with a Cop". Police will partner with Java Werks to connect the department with members of the community.

"I would think the biggest message is to let community know this is only the beginning. As the chief of police here I'm not a business man, but with the influence that the police department does have and trying to get people to do what's right, I think that we have to take the platform that we're given to make a difference and try to instill change."

Fifty "9-1-1 Passes" at $50 each to support the police department. The money collected from these passes will help the police department purchase new equipment and items.

Terror Test will also be donating proceeds to the Behavioral Research Institute, who will soon be placing their headquarters in Lumberton.
