Cory Lalonde told The Advocate that 17-year-old Trey Lealaimatafao (LAY-ah-LAH-eee-mah-tah-fow), of San Antonio, Texas, and 19-year-old Davon (DUH-von) Godchaux, of Plaquemine, were issued misdemeanor citations in lieu of being booked Thursday into the parish jail.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - McNeese State University Athletic Director Bruce Hemphill says McNeese's plans for building an on-campus basketball arena are "moving forward quickly." Hemphill tells The American Press the school has secured financing for the project and signed contracts with a local architect.

HOUSTON (AP) - Chris Carter, Jason Castro, Marc Krauss and Matt Dominguez each hit a home run as the Houston Astros snapped a five-game skid with a 7-3 win over the Oakland Athletics on Monday night. The last time Houston hit three home runs in an inning was June 5, 2013, against Baltimore.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - For an undrafted rookie out of Tiffin University, Tennessee Titans receiver Nate Washington has had a pretty good career. He's going into his 10th NFL training camp and insists he's nowhere close to being done.
