GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Good Morning! I'm WNCT First Alert meteorologist Dontae Jones with a look at your forecast.

THIS MORNING: Comfortable as you head out the door. Temperatures are in the mid 60s inland and around 70 as you wake up along the coast (along and east of Highway 17).

THIS AFTERNOON:  A weak front will attempt to push into the area today, but temperatures will remain hot in advance of the front. Highs will reach the lower 90's inland and mid to upper 80's at the coast. The front may produce an isolated shower or storm this afternoon into the evening, but the coverage will likely not be impressive.

TONIGHT: Not as cool as we take you into the overnight. Partly cloudy skies with temperatures around 70 inland and lower to mid 70s along the coast is expected.

TROPICS: Cristobal passed about 300 miles southeast of Cape Hatteras Wednesday afternoon. The storm will push farther out to sea on Thursday. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect at the coast, and the risk of rip currents will remain elevated through Thursday. Elsewhere, tropical storm formation is not expected in the next 48 hours.  For even more tropical information, head over to the WNCT 9 First Alert Hurricane Center by clicking HERE.
