A multi-day significant severe weather outbreak is looming as Spring really starts to ramp up. Our next big storm will get started on Saturday in the Great Plains and roll towards Central Mississippi by Monday-Tuesday. Right now, details are limited as this event is still 6-days away. You'll see several rumors, I'm sure, floating around social media this afternoon. The fact is, while it appears as though the ingredients for severe weather will be in place, a specific forecast at this point detailing the direct threats and their magnitude is just not possible with any accuracy at this time. At a minimum, expect heavy rain, damaging winds, and a possibility for large hail in the more robust thunderstorms.
