The University of Mississippi Medical Center made international headlines this week when a little girl was apparently cured of the HIV virus.
While that is a medical miracle, advocacy groups warn that people should not get the impression that a cure has been found for the virus.
In an effort to continue educating the public, the group Mississippi in Action will present a report about Mississippians living with HIV/AIDS today.
They will have a news conference at 10:00 a.m. at the State Capitol to release the latest data.
