Three people have been charged with murder in the shooting death of a 17-year-old Vicksburg High School student.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace tells the Vicksburg Post that De'Mario Mixon and Christopher Jones, both 19, and 18-year-old Melvin Wiggins Jr. are being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
Authorities say KeMarvin Stamps, a freshman at Vicksburg High School, was pronounced dead Saturday after being shot in the head shortly before midnight Friday.
Pace says Stamps was standing on the road with an unidentified teen and was shot during an argument with three people in a truck. Pace says the shot was fired from the vehicle.
Mixon and Jones were arrested Saturday on misdemeanor charges and detained for questioning. Wiggins was arrested Monday.
