Gained Weight may Turn in to Kidney Problems

Posted: Updated:

People who gain excess weight in their 20s and 30s are twice as likely to develop chronic kidney disease in their 60s, according to a new British study.

The researchers found that adults who gained weight in their belly and hips in their 40s and early 50s were at an increased risk for kidney problems in general.

Doctors say the findings highlight the importance of watching your weight as you get older.
