The jury in the Richard McGahey Trial has found the Jackson Police officer not guilty on bribery charges.
McGahey was charged with accepting $250 bribe to release a suspect who had outstanding warrants.
The 43-year-old says the money Russell Carr gave him was repayment of a loan, not a bribe.
McGahey said he often loaned money to Carr and that Carr worked as an informant with him for several years.
McGahey is a 20-year veteran of the police force.
News Channel will have more on the verdict here on WJTV.com and tonight on News Channel 12 at ten o'clock.
