More Television Equals a Higher BMI, Study Says

Kids who spend more time watching TV tend to have a higher body mass index, even more than those who use other electronic media.

Researchers analyzed the media habits of about 90 teens and found that TV ads for unhealthy foods may be a bad influence.  Also, many kids who eat while watching television are distracted and don't realize when they are full.
