OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Jarvis Summers scored 25 points, Marshall Henderson added 15 and Mississippi rallied for a 72-63 victory over Middle Tennessee State on Saturday afternoon. Ole Miss snapped a two-game losing skid, coming back from a 56-50 deficit with less than eight minutes remaining. It was the most points for Summers since he scored 28 in a season-opening victory against Troy.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) - Brandon West scored 14 points and grabbed 22 rebounds to lead Jackson State to a 57-51 win over Evansville on Saturday.Julysses Nobles also had 14 points for the Tigers with Marcus Love adding 11 off the bench.
HATTIESBURG, Miss. (AP) - Daveon Boardingham scored 23 points on 9-of-11 shooting and Matt Bingaya added 17 as Southern Mississippi rolled past Division-III St. Catherine 96-60 Saturday night. The Golden Eagles held a 20-18 lead midway through the first half, but surged ahead with an 11-0 run capped by a layup and dunk from Boardingham. Two more Boardingham dunks put Southern Miss up 43-29 at halftime.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Rashaan Evans dealt with college coaches all week, then was the biggest star in Saturday's Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic. Evans, an uncommitted five-star linebacker/defensive end from Auburn High School, returned an interception for a touchdown and had four tackles for loss in Alabama's 21-17 win at Cramton Bowl.
