.) If you have trouble walking or using your hand as a result of stroke, multiple sclerosis, brain injury, spinal cord injury or cerebral palsy, Bioness wireless technologies may help you regain independence and get back into a more active lifestyle.
St. Dominic's is hosting a free community screening day for Bioness wireless devices on Thursday, April 25 from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. The screening will be held in the St. Dominic's Outpatient Rehab Center in Dominican Plaza, directly across from St. Dominic Hospital.
St. Dominic's is one of the first hospitals in the state to offer NESS L300, a revolutionary device that improves walking ability and overall quality of life in people experiencing foot drop, a common result of stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, brain tumors, incomplete spinal cord injuries and other disorders of the nervous system.
The event will also include screenings for the NESS H200 Hand Rehabilitation System, which has been shown to facilitate the return of hand function in patients at the acute phase of recovery following stroke and brain injury, as well as in select patients whose injuries are years old.
