A man charged with murdering his wife was in court Friday as his case prepares to go to trial.
Raven Abaroa was arrested in 2010 for the 2005 murder of his wife, Janet Abaroa. She was pregnant with their second child when she was stabbed in her Durham home.
On Friday, a judge heard a motion from the defense to suppress computer evidence seized from Raven Abaroa's house.
The judge could decide on that motion, and hear any others, on Monday. That's when jury selection is expected to begin. Assistant district attorney Charlene Coggins-Franks said jury selection could take two to three days and that the trial could last about three weeks.
