The Sprint Cup Series moved from the wild wild west into the heartland this weekend, but they did so with heavy hearts. Many drivers showed support for the boston bombing victims. The racing on the other hand was unpredictable, causing one of the series best drivers- Kyle Busch to spin out twice.  The second time that M & M's Toyota slid out from under him he gathered Joey Logano in a tough hit that ended the day for both drivers.

Fast forward to the last lap and Matt Kenseth would have his hands full trying to hold off Kasey Kahne--and he does just that.   Kenseth goes on to win his second race of the year, and his second in a row at Kansas.  Kenseth says his car was unbelievably fast for the first 120 laps or so..but as the weather varied from cloudy to sunny so did his racecar.. It was the adjustments to keep it fast that made the difference for the 20 car.

Atop your Sprint Cup points standings---Jimmie johnson is still your points leader by 37 over Kasey Kahne.  Dale Jr moves up one spot to 5th, while Matt Kenseth's win lands him in 8th place. Paul Menard rounds out your top 10.   Next week the series comes back to the Commonwealth as they hit the track in Richmond for a short track race under the lights.
