Today marks the first day of a nationwide cancer study in Jackson.
The American Cancer Society is recruiting 300,000 adults across the U.S. and Puerto Rico for a new research study called Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3).
It's to better understand the lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer.
Today's community-wide enrollment will start at 11:00 a.m. in Room 113 at the State Capitol.
This is the last chance for people in Jackson to get involved in the study.
