Thanks, but no thanks.
That's what the widow of the late Hinds County Supervisor Doug Anderson says about filling his seat.
We talked to the daughter of Doug and Josephine Anderson who says her mother has no desire to fill the District 2 position.
On Sunday, Supervisor Kenneth Stokes held a news conference pushing the idea--but he did it without Mrs. Anderson's approval.
She's currently the District 2 Election Commissioner for Hinds County.
Doug Anderson passed away on April 13 after a series of health issues.
The family says voters should decide who fills his spot.
