Holmes County -

Judge Jannie Lewis' law clerk confirms that a probable cause hearing was held Tuesday for George Lomax, Assistant Principal at J.J. McClain High School. The hearing took place in Holmes County Judge Jannie Lewis' court room.

An assistant at the judge's office confirms the case involves the reported rape of a 16-year-old student, but could not expand upon when or where the crime supposedly took place. Judge Lewis determined that enough evidence exists to have the case heard.

Holmes County Sheriff Willie March said Lomax has not yet been charged, but his office has gotten permission from the judge to draw blood for crime lab testing.
