Cash flow problems at a medical center in Canton have left employees without a paycheck.
officials at the G. A. Carmichael Family Health Center say they're waiting on federal funds to pay their employees.
According to the center's Executive Director, Dr. Janice Bacon, there are not enough funds to cover all their expenses.
This includes everything from equipment costs, to payroll.
Bacon says those things are paid in order of priority.
The last time the employees were paid was April 5th says Bacon.
They were supposed to be paid again on April 19th, but instead of a paycheck, they received an email stating they wouldn't be getting that check.
Dr. Bacon says she has been working on finding a solution for weeks and is in the process of trying to obtain a loan through various banks.
She says part of the reason federal money hasn't made its way to the center's account is because of accounting errors on their part.
The center's board of directors is scheduled to meet Wednesday evening to discuss what they're calling a recovery plan to reduce their expenses.
The plan has to be presented and approved by the board.
There is a staff meeting scheduled for Thursday afternoon with employees, where center officials say, they'll be given in depth information on the recovery plan.
