Johnson City, TN -

Suspicious packages at East Tennessee State University cause the evacuation of students from one of the college's dorms.

According to Joe Smith, Director of Media Relations at ETSU, the suspicious packages were found around midnight at Buc Ridge.  Law enforcement agencies were called to the scene and students were evacuated from the building.

As of 7:00 a.m. Sunday morning, students were allowed back into the building.  Smith says there is currently no immediate threat to the campus.

The situation is still under investigation.  News Channel 11 will continue to update you on the situation as more information becomes available.
