GOLDSBORO, N.C. -

A woman veered her car off the road, jumped a curb, slammed through a fence and landed into a 10-foot ditch Sunday.

9 On Your Side's Madeleine Wright witnessed the accident around 1:15 p.m. in front of the China House Restaurant near 205 S. Berkeley Blvd in Goldsboro.

The woman driver was the only victim in the car.  When she came out of her car, she stood on top of her car roof screaming, after which two men helped carry her out of the ditch.

She identified herself as Shannon and said she was worried about her unborn baby, as she is 17 weeks pregnant.  She said she is a waitress and was driving from work.

Emergency crews were on scene within minutes and took her away on a stretcher.  She suffered non life-threatening injuries.

What caused the accident is still under investigation.
