The Sprint Cup Series tackled the Richmond International Raceway this weekend under the lights for a main event that may have set the story line for the coming weeks. Kevin Harvick-- in his last season at Richard Childress racing-- shot from 7th to 1st in the final five laps by diving under 5 cars on the restart and running down teammate Jeff Burton for his first win of the season.

Harvick's future owner and teammate Tony Stewart and Kurt Busch got in to a shoving match with their cars after the final lap. The two were mad at how they raced each other on that final restart.  Smoke declined comment after the race but Kurt Busch was more than happy to tell his side of the story.  The points standings after Richmond show Jimmie Johnson with a commanding 43 point lead over 2nd place Carl Edwards.  Dale Jr. is climbing the ladder back up to the top of that leader board--he sits in 4th…Race winner Kevin Harvick cracks the top ten. and his teammate Paul Menard continues to impress as he sits in 10th.

Next weekend the series heads to Talladega, and Denny Hamlin eyes a return.  There is a pretty good chance Tony and Kurt may get in to it again in Alabama.
