    The Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrested 11 people Saturday morning through Monday afternoon, who were reportedly involved in illegal drug activity and a residential burglary.

JOHNSON CITY, TN (WJHL) -

Johnson City police say they've gotten no tips after releasing a surveillance picture of the man who robbed Eastman Credit Union. The robbery happened on North Roan Street Friday morning around 10:20 a.m. They say he was wearing a long sleeve purple shirt and a black and orange Baltimore Orioles hat at the time. 

The suspect is described as a white man, around 6'0" tall and weighing between 150 and 160 pounds. 

Investigators say he walked into the branch, demanded money from one of the tellers, then  made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Witnesses say he ran towards Carroll Creek Road. The man was wearing socks on his hands and walked with his head down.  Police say this is something the public needs to be aware of and anytime you see behavior like that you should call 911

"He was in and out within a minute," Sgt. Kevin Peters said of the robbery. "It was pretty quick. We want to make sure he pays for what he's done and also make sure that no more robberies occur."

UPDATE:

Johnson City Police have scheduled a press conference for 2:45 p.m. where we expect officers to release more information about the bank robbery at Eastman Credit Union this morning. Look for updates on WJHL.com and on News Channel 11.

UPDATE:

The Johnson City Police Department says officers and FBI officials are still looking for the person who robbed Eastman Credit Union on North Roan Street. However, both Johnson City officers and the FBI have left the scene of the robbery.

Police say no weapons were used in the robbery and no injuries were reported.

Officers say no arrests have been made.

Johnson City dispatchers say someone robbed Eastman Credit Union on the 4300 block of North Roan Street this morning.

Dispatchers couldn't give us much information other than crews are at the bank investigating what happened.
