UNICOI COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

A News Channel 11 viewer contacted our newsroom after efforts to recover his neighbor's kitty failed.

Jonnie Torino of Unicoi says his neighbors cat had been stuck in the tree for three days.

Friday afternoon WJHL posted a photo of the stuck kitty on our Facebook page and we received several responses.

Jaimy R. owner of P.A.C Handyman Service offered to help, but the Unicoi County Volunteer Fire Department actually came to his aid.

What a way to end our week - a neighbor paying it forward to another neighbor!

As you can see in the photo the cat doesn't seem too happy to be out of the tree.
