An empty building in downtown Jackson could be occupied by a state agency even though it was passed over earlier this year.
The Landmark Building is located on East Capitol Street in downtown Jackson.
The Landmark Building was suggested as the new home of the Department of Revenue.
But the Mississippi Department of Finance & Administration decided to move the department to the South Pointe Building in Clinton.
Now the Landmark remains empty but Senator David Blount hopes it's not that way for long.
Senator Blount says he hopes to have more specifics before the next legislative session starts in January.
