Woman hit on Boylan Avenue in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. -

Raleigh police said a pedestrian was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Boylan Avenue Thursday night.

Raleigh police officials said the pedestrian, identified as Norma Collins McCaulley, 68, sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries to her lower body.

The accident report released by Raleigh police said McCaulley was wearing dark clothing when she stepped off the curb in front of the vehicle. McCaulley was not using a cross walk and the driver didn't have enough time to react.

Raleigh police arrested and charged Steven Mark Teague, 53, of Raleigh, with driving while impaired and driving with a revoked license.
