The track at the Mississippi School for the Deaf is the school parking lot.
Despite the lack of a track facility, the school is home to one of the fastest runners in the state.
Her name is Shanieka Coleman.
"When I was 13-years-old, I watched the Olympics, I watched track on the Olympics. I really thought, you know, I would really like to be like that. I wanna be in the Olympics some day so that became a goal for me. So I started to be on the track team here at school and I thought I could do it."
Now 16, Shanieka has been invited to the Deaf Olympics this summer in Bulgaria.
