Two men were arrested in Greenville this week after an investigation revealed they had large amounts of drugs and a stolen handgun in their possession.
Laquonne Anthony and Joshua Nobles, both of Greenville, were taken into custody after an investigation by the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force. Police say investigators searched an apartment on Summerhaven Dr. and recovered 20 grams of crack cocaine, 30 dosage units of heroin and two handguns. One of the handguns was reported stolen in Virginia.
Anthony was charged with possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin and received a $2,500 bond.
Nobles was charged with possession of stolen fireman, possession of firearm by a felon, possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substance. His bond was $125,000.
Members of the Greenville Regional Drug Task Force include the Greenville Police Department, the Pitt County Sheriff's Office, the State Bureau of Investigation and the Farmville Police Department.
Authorities are expected to release the results of autopsies on the two bodies recovered from the fiery crash that killed "Fast & Furious" actor Paul Walker and his friend.
