The Hinds County Sheriff's Office continues to work daily to rid the streets of Hinds County from drugs. "This is our commitment to every resident in this county," said Tyrone Lewis, Sheriff. "I want to make it very clear, our work isn't done until the drugs are gone."
Based on a three-month investigation that continues today in Northeast Jackson, on Tuesday, May 14, members of the Hinds County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at 168 Riveria Drive.
As a result of this operation, our officers seized five (5) pounds of marijuana that has a street value of approximately $12,000.00, paraphernalia associated with the distribution of marijuana and an Intratec 9mm handgun.
Arrested were 24-year-old Cariveria Anexus Marshall and 34-year-old Thomas Everick Marshall, both were charged with the possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, while in possession of a firearm.
This is an ongoing investigation and more arrests are expected.
