Most Wanted: woman using multiple names to commit crimes

Posted: Updated: Date / Time
ELIZABETHTON, TN (WJHL) -

Here's a story you'll see tonight at 11pm on News Channel.

Elizabethton Police added Patrician Ann Orr to its Most Wanted list this week.

But that's not the only name she uses, police say.

"It appears to us that she is using a combination of other people's names and their personal information to acquire what she wants," said Captain Joy Markland, Elizabethton Police.

Markland says a woman matching Orr's description recently got medical care using an insurance card that didn't belong to her at an Elizabethton medical facility.   She told the medical clerk her name was Michael Angela Johnson.   Markland says the clerk remembered it well.   "From what we learned, she actually had a somewhat comical interaction with the clerk about that saying it's a male's name and was very casual,"  she said.   Needless to say, the clinic never got paid.

Patricia Ann Orr, 44, is charged with Theft of Services (over $1,000) and Identity Theft by Elizabethton Police.  Police got close to making an arrest, but Orr disappeared before police could get to her.

These are the name Captain Markland thinks Orr is using or has used:

  • Patricia Dodson
  • Patricia Libner
  • Michael Angela Johnson
  • Patricia Nichols
  • Angela Johnson
  • Patty Nichols
  • Patricia Johnson
  • Patricia Dodson Orr
  • Patty Orr

Markland says Orr is wanted in two other states in addition to Tennessee.

If you know where police can find her, call: 423-542-7574 or 423-542-4141.

According to the Federal Trade Commission, "Scammers use cameras, keypad overlays, and skimming devices - like a realistic-looking card reader placed over the factory-installed card reader on an ATM or gas pump - to capture the information from your card's magnetic strip without your knowledge and get your PIN."
