On June 11, 2013 agencies were notified of a possible drowning at the Swinging Bridge on Florence/Byram Road in Byram, MS.
The missing individual has been identified as 36 year old Mark Anthony Kuhn of Jackson.
agencies were immediately dispatched and on scene to conduct the search.
Late last night the search was temporarily put on hold and resumed this morning.
mid-morning, responding units located the victim.
Efforts to recover the individual have been hindered by debris in the water and entrapment of the body.
Responding agencies include The Clearly Fire
Department, Rankin County Emergency Operations, The Rankin County Sheriff's Department, The Hinds County Sheriff's Department, Hinds County Emergency Operations, The Mississippi Department of Wildlife,Fisheries and Parks as well as the The Byram Police Department and Byram Fire Department.

At 8 a.m. on Wednesday morning rescue crews will restart their search for a Jackson man who jumped off the Swinging Bridge near Byram and into the into the water of the Pearl River.
36-year-old Mark Kuhn is thought by family members to be dead. Groups of relatives and supporters congregated near the bridge on Tuesday afternoon.
Hinds and Rankin County Emergency Operation crews are reporting that Kuhn was injured after a 30 foot jump into murky water. That happened around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
The current is high in the Pearl River because of recent rains so there are also risks for rescue crews, Director of Emergency Operations for Rankin County Bob Wedgeworth said.
"No divers will be put in the water until we can definitely have an image on the side-scan sonar," Wedgeworth said.
Crews worked until dusk on Tuesday looking for Kuhn's body. They covered three miles of the river searching in water about 16 feet deep.
