The Utah Jazz selected Virginia Tech guard Erick Green as the 46th pick, before sending him to the Denver Nuggets in a late night trade. In the spring, Green wrapped up his decorated Hokies career with a number of honors, including ACC player of the year and leading the nation in scoring by averaging 25 points per game.

------

The nation's leading scorer and Virginia Tech Hokie Erick Green sat through the first round of the NBA Draft only to hear 30 names called that were not his own. But that all changed shortly after 11:30 pm when the Utah Jazz took Green with the 16th pick in the 2nd round, 46th pick overall.

Green averaged just over 25 points per game with the Hokies last season with little help from his team mates, now green turns his focus to making a difference on an NBA court.
