Sylvan wins Greenville Little League City Championship

GREENVILLE, N.C. -

Sylvan Learning Center beat Jarman Auto Sales in the deciding game of the Greenville Little League Championship on Sunday. Powered by Robby Wacker, the boys in blue won 16-2.

Wacker had three home runs, the third being a grand slam to wrap up the game. On the defensive side Tanner Fields came in relief and shut down Jarman.

"The team played really good," said Wacker. "It feels great to be champs!"

Jarman beat Sylvan 15-1 on Friday night but things changed drastically over the weekend. Sylvan used the home run ball to win 6-4 on Saturday and force a Sunday finale. The top of the lineup handled their business Sunday to help Sylvan pick up the title.

"This is my second time doing this and it feels just as good the second time as it did the first time," said Sylvan Coach Mitch Keen.
