Rankin County Sheriff's Department Deputies arrested a Raven Wells and a 17 year old Juvenile in connection to six recent house burglaries in the south central part of Rankin County.
Raven Wells and the juvenile were arrested during a traffic stop while driving a white Hyundai at the intersection of Monterey Road and Thomasville Road. Wells was arrested for driving while license suspended and a search incident to arrest revealed evidence from one of the house burglaries.
The investigation led deputies to residences in Jackson. Rankin County Deputies working with the Hinds County Sheriff's Office, U.S. Marshals Task Force and the Jackson Police Department recovered numerous stolen items not only from the Rankin County Burglaries but also items stolen from the Jackson area. Guns, jewelry, medication, electronics and numerous other items were recovered.
The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
Raven Wells appeared before Rankin County Court Judge Kent McDaniel for an initial appearance today where she was ordered to be held with no bond until her preliminary hearing.
The 17 year old juvenile will appear before Youth Court Judge Tom Broome.
