Roanoke County Police say a three vehicle crash shut down Poplar Drive Saturday night for about an hour.
Police say it happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 3500 Block of Poplar Drive near Colonial Avenue after one of the vehicles ran a stop sign.
One vehicle overturned, and one person was transported to Roanoke Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Two of the vehicles had to be towed.
The suspect was charged with disregarding a stop sign.
Police say weather was not a factor in the crash and there is not any information about injuries. It's not clear if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
Roanoke County Police say the road has since reopened.
There is no further information at this time as the investigation continues.
