    A Johnson City man was arrested Saturday after police said he assaulted his father with a hammer.According to police, Robert Collins, 25, attacked the victim, choked him, hit him with a hammer, and then smashed a kitchen window.Collins was charged with one count of aggravated domestic assault and one count of vandalism.He's in the Washington County Detention Center on $25,000 bond.Copyright WJHL 2014. CARTER COUNTY, TN (WJHL) -

UPDATE: 

The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a pickup truck driven by Teddy A. Greene of Elizabethton collided with two pedestrians shortly after 1 PM. 

According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report, the vehicle was traveling southbound on State Highway 91.  The two pedestrians were walking southbound.  One was in the grass and one was on the small shoulder of the roadway.

THP said Whitney S. Richards of Johnson City was killed.  The other pedestrian, Kellie D. Price of Elizabethton suffered injuries.

The Carter County Rescue Squad confirms a girl is dead after an incident on Highway 91 in the Stoney Creek area of Carter County.

Rescue squad officials confirm a pickup truck hit two girls on the road. One of the girls died, according to investigators.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesperson Dalya Qualls, the girl was killed at the intersection of Highway 91 and Estal Drive.

Qualls has not released any more information at this point as to how the girl died.
