Fayetteville police said three separate shootings early Saturday morning left five people injured.
The first incident occurred about 3:30 a.m. when officers responded to the parking lot of the McDonald's on Santa Fe Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Joshua Chunn, 35. He was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Police said Chunn and an acquaintance got into an altercation inside a nightclub and left soon after. After Chunn dropped his acquaintance off, a car began to follow him. Authorities said the people in this car confronted Chunn and shot him multiple times. He was take to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center
Around 4:30 a.m., officers responded to a shooting call at a home in the 7600 block of Sable Drive. Police said individuals in a white Dodge Charger pulled up to the residence and began yelling expletives at individuals leaving the party. The occupants of the Charger were asked to leave when a passenger in the vehicle got out and began shooting.
Keondre Thomas, 17, and Kristen Wood, 21, were leaving the party when they were shot. Thomas and Wood were taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department who were at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center around 6 a.m. investigating the earlier shootings learned that two more people had come to the hospital after being shot in a separate incident.
Police said Antonias Milton, 27, and Sedale Council, 23, were shot at a residence on the 400 block of Squirrel Street. Milton and Council were listed in stable condition Saturday morning.
Fayetteville police did not say if the shootings were related but are asking for assistance from the public in identifying the suspects in the shootings.
