BLOUNTVILLE, TN (WJHL) -

Patrick Wilson will soon return to Tri-Cities Regional Airport as its executive director less than a year after he accepted a job with Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Tri-Cities Regional Airport Spokesperson Melissa Thomas confirmed Airport Authority commissioners unanimously voted to re-hire Wilson. Thomas said Wilson will likely start again at Tri-Cities Regional Airport in August and she said Wilson will make his old salary of $139,000.

Wilson announced in February he would leave Tri-Cities Regional Airport to become Deputy Airport Director of Operations at Raleigh-Durham International Airport.
