Brandon police responded to a shooting last night, around 8:45pm, at the Brandon Hills Apartments.
Police learned upon arrival, that Dillan Wilson, 21, had been shot in the abdomen and had been taken to the Crossgates River Oaks Hospital by a friend.
Robert Clark, 27, was arrested by police and is being held in the Rankin County Jail for aggravated assault.
Wilson was listed as being in fair condition at UMC Hospital.
Police say after Wilson got shot, he ran and jumped in a car driven by 30 year old Iquri Batiste. As Batiste was backing out of his parking space, he began to fire out of his vehicle at the Clark subject who was crouched down in front of a parked vehicle.
The vehicle had two small infants in it. One of the bullets fired by Batiste went through the back glass and out the front windshield. The infants were not harmed.
Batiste was arrested earlier this afternoon and charged with drive-by shooting. He and Clarke had their initial appearance before Judge Mike Younger a short time ago and both waived and were bound over to the Rankin County Grand jury.
They both have a $250,000 bond.
