UPDATED Tuesday 8/13/13 at 10:30 p.m.

Speculation is circling after a body is found in Madison.  Madison police are not saying much about this, but they say the body appears to be female.

Police discovered the body in a wooded area at the intersection of Rice Road and Madison Avenue around 2:40 this afternoon.

When we arrived on the scene we saw several police vehicles pulled to the side of the road.  Officers were in the wooded area investigating where they found the body.  They have not made an official identification.  An autopsy will be performed.

This latest news comes while Madison Police continue searching for a runaway teen.  Seventeen-year-old Abigail Bonner was first reported missing on August 3rd.  Her parents are offering a 25-thousand dollar reward to anyone who knows where their daughter is.

Madison Police have not said whether the body found today is Abigail, but friends and family continue to hope for Abigail's safe return.

We found this statement on the Facebook page called Looking for Abigail: "I wanted to provide you a brief update. This afternoon, the family was notified by the Madison Police Department that they had found a body, they were investigating scene and that an autopsy is being performed. Several of the TV stations have been running updates on the matter. Many relatives are in route to be with the family. Once the autopsy report is released, I will try to provide you with an update. In the interim, we would ask that you please continue to pray for all of us."

At the Bonner's Madison home Tuesday night, friends and family rushed to be with Abigail's parents and siblings.  A Madison police officer was guarding the home making sure only friends and family approached the front door.  When Abigail went missing, News Channel 12 talked with her parents, who are still hoping their daughter will come home safely.

"She's not a survivalist; she's not used to living on her own.  As far as we know, she has not money, no car," comments Lance Bonner.

"We're trusting that God will protect here and bring her home," expresses Rachel Bonner.

Authorities have said Abigail could be a runaway and that she may be in New York or New Jersey.

If you know anything about Abigail's whereabouts, you are urged to call Madison Police.
