On August 18, 2013, at approximately 10am, the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a child being bitten by a dog. The child was transported by personal vehicle to Magee General Hospital by the child’s mother, Melanie Bishop. Due to the bite injuries sustained to the child’s head, the child was later airlifted to University Medical Center for further treatment.
