Two people dead in Salem shooting

UPDATE 6:55 P.M. -- We've now learned one man and one woman have died in a shooting in Salem.

Shortly after 4:30 P.M. officers responded to the 100 block of Ferrum Drive.

Salem Police tell us the man was pronounced dead the at scene. They woman was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital where she later died.

At this time, no one else is believed to be involved in the incident.

The names of the man and woman are being withheld until their families are notified.

One person is dead and another is hurt after a shooting in Salem.

It happened on Ferrum Drive around 5:00 P.M.

Police tell us at this point, they're not looking for any suspects.
