Hinds County District 5 Supervisor Kenneth Stokes has a plan for folks still recovering from this year's hail storm. He says he wants the county to look into making grants available for elderly and disabled residents to make home repairs.
Supervisor Stokes says although the hail storm has passed, many people are still recovering, especially those who didn't have insurance.
"So now they're moving from the hailstorm destroying their roofs, to now it's raining in their home, and their ceilings are falling in," he says. "And there's no help, So I'm hoping that we can ask the Board of Supervisors to consider Grants."
Supervisor Stokes says he'll bring this up at the next meeting, which is Monday.
